The main purpose of
the Project is to impart computer education to all the children of classes VI

Municipal and Residential schools). The Project is being implemented on BOOT
model from 2002-03 to 30-06-2007. The Government have extended the project
for 2 more years i.e., from 12-12-2007 to 11-12-2009.

Computer Education Project is to be commenced from 2010-11. In terms of
Tender document/MOU, Mobilization advance of Rs.9.03 Crores @ 81.74% has been
released to the agencies of the 10% of the total Contract value duly charging
the rate of interest @12%. Further an amount of Rs.2.01 Crores is
to be released to the agencies towards balance payment of Mobilization
Advance.

5000 Schools
Computer Education Project was commenced from 2008-09. In terms of Tender
document/MOU, Mobilization advance of 10% of the total Contract value is Rs.
43.15 crores was provided by the Government to the seven agencies duly
charging the rate of interest @12%. Further an amount of Rs. 7.83 Crs.
has been released to the agencies towards service charges as part payment of
3rd Quarter. An amount of Rs. 75.00 Crores is due to the agencies up to
31-3-2010.
